i dont find it tacky at all......but of course no one is EVER obligated to give someone something off of their registry. cash, check, or a gift of your choosing (that can also be returned, if needed) are all fine!

OMG--did you read the text of that Kauai honeymoon? This is the way these young people think of themselves, like they are KK and crew. Funny and sad at the same time.

Who cares? Nothing on the registry in that screenshot is over $100. I'd spend minimal that on a wedding gift for an acquaintance. It's starting to become very clear that many of contributors here just despise the idea that these couples may have some happiness. Control freaks who are angry that their $100 will be spent in any other way than they, themselves, deem appropriate.

Exactly the way I felt reading my nephew's wedding invitation! They already owned a very nice home. They both had good jobs, save up for the honeymoon yourselves! Since this was also his third wedding, I would have been very embarrassed to even think of expecting people to finance my trip and also have a gift register! Entitlement is definitely evident!

This is so hilarious to me. I find it hysterical people think it's okay to ask others to pitch in for such a luxurious honeymoon. Oh well, go fund away folks....
Those people will probably divorce when the all expenses paid honeymoon is over and they find out it takes real hard work to save for a vacation and nice things. Hey and they can pay for things they want instead of thoughtless people bestowing them with awful gifts they hate or don't need. They will have a huge fight about the things they want and how expensive it is....
Give me a baby shower any day over something like this....
Yes, and they will probably go bankrupt in the process and we all pick up the tab. Seen it happen more than once, unfortunately😨
