I used Gold Bond Ultimate Softening with Shea Butter.  This was my desert island lotion for many years.  I tried other Gold Bond lotions, but always came back to this Shea Butter one.

True confessions (and as a point of reference) -- I've been using Josie Maran unscented body butter for almost a year now and won't use anything else.  But, in the event of a warning of an apocalypse, and the JM body butter is no longer manufactured, I'd go back to GB Shea Butter lotion in a heartbeat.

I used to love Aveeno, it really worked, then they changed something.  The only way I can describe it, it's like a dry slime.

Try the Lubriderm.

Very light weight but effective.

For the body I sometimes use baby lotion.  Any kind, whatever I find in the store.  I like the scent.  I don't have sensitivity issues and just about any product works for me.

I don't know if Nivea makes a lotion or not, but that brand is highly thought of, by many people. Its an old and trusted company

I have menopause dry skin and my legs are the worst. I've tried many and the best one for my dry flaky issues is

"Udderly Smooth". It's also inexpensive, and made in the USA.  I find the 2 oz tubes at Dollar Tree.
