Drone issues

Someone in our neighborhood has been sending a drone over our backyards almost everyday. Not always at the same time, It flies pretty low and terrifies the birds that come fit my feeders. I like my privacy in my own backyard. How do I find out who the drone belongs to? DH suggest a BB gun.

As long as bb guns aren't illegal in your area, I'm with your husband. If they are illegal, then a sling shot should suffice.

Maybe Google for your area and see what drones are allowed to do. Then the BB gun! Lol.

If it’s not just a neighbor and it’s a commercial drone, you could be the one in trouble if you destroy it.

I would suggest taking some photos and video and talking to your neighbors first.

Boy, that would really get on my nerves! If it is every day and it is flying low over your house and property and seems very intrusive, loud and snoopy, I would contact the police and see what they say about it.

Are their any homes for sale or coming on the market in your neighborhood? When our house was sold the inspection involved a drone to fly over and take pictures of the roof. Also the county tax assessor periodically takes updated pictures of homes and surrounding property for the property record cards.

So like another poster said before you destroy the drone it is best to find out exactly what it is doing and if it is legal to shoot it down or to fire a gun, even a bb gun in a residential neighborhood.

I like your husband's idea. I don't know if you can find out who owns it but I think it wouldn't matter. They aren't going to stop flying it wherever and whenever they want.
