I tend to have crazy, intricate, in color dreams but sometimes one frightens you so much, it stays with you the day after.

This morning, I had to sit quietly upon awakening and get myself together.  It was a dream of fright and stress.  I have felt "off" all day because of it and can't seem to get rid of the negative vibe.

Does this happen to anyone else wherein you can't seem to shake the bad "feelings" of the dream?

I haven't remembered a dream in years, maybe that's a good thing?

I never have scary, vivid technicolor dreams and what I do have aren't significant enough to remember.

Yes, I have of those kind of dreams sporadically.  I actually have three reoccurring dreams that drive me batty.  Two of them are just annoying.  One is where the electricity in the upstairs bathroom doesn't work all of a sudden, and the other is that I can't remember my high school locker combo and my class schedule! Weird!

The terrifying dream I have more often though is that I'm standing at the top of upstairs steps YELLING and SCREAMING at an intruder in the house to get out! That one always wakes me up in terror and I can't shake it out of my head for the day.  Hate that one!

Hope you get some peaceful sleep tonight!

If I have dreams I don't remember them at all.

I remember having a few dreams I was so happy when I woke up, then again there were dreams that I wish could have gone on and on Woman Happy

@Mersha  I usually get them if I wake up at 4 am or 5 am and go back to sleep for an hour. I know what's coming when I go back to sleep. I should just get up instead. On the other hand, your dreams are sometimes your subconscious speaking to your conscious . If my bad dream involves a series of impossibly frustrating events, I try to think of what is currently frustrating me and try to work through it.

@Mersha  - I dream every night and I remember them when I first wake up.  However, I usually forget them pretty quick.  Every once in a while I'll remember one throughout the day.

Sorry you had a frightening one last night.  Take care.

Yes me too Mersha, so sorry. They can be unsetteling. Try to take your mind off of it, I know that's easier said than done. Think of a good dream instead. Feel better
