Love hearing all your thoughts/experiences about dreams.

Guess I found this one disturbing as it was about a guy I dated off and on in my early 20's (I'm 67 now).  Maybe 6-8 months after we were "off", he was killed in a motorcycle accident at 24.

Went to the funeral, got closure, and really can't remember the last time I thought of him, as I've had several long-term relationships and two marriages (one ending with death) since then.  Now I can't stop thinking "what does this mean?"

Maybe my brain is busy cleaning out the early/mid 70's??

Gotta keep my sense of humor.

Reoccuring dreams:

Can't run fast enough so I turn around and run backwards and am the fastest. . .

Lost in a confounding building, stairs, hallways, elevators but I can't get out.... discovering people and things along the way.

I think dreams are pretty much random, but there can be dreams that bring us close to our departed love ones.  They come and tell us occasionally what we should hear....  but I believe most of us don't remember our dreams.

When I was a child I had 2 recurring dreams. One was armed men outside the house and we couldn't leave and one was a secret flood in my grandparent's house.

As an adult, the only recurring dream I remember is twice in the last year I had a dream that I was out without my mask.  I googled and this is apparently common and related to anxiety of the situation.  The first dream I was yelling at my co-worker because she didn't tell me I was walkign around the office without my mask.  The second one was in public.

I'm so glad you asked that because dreams, first of all, are a way that the brain recharges.  The brain is like a battery, it MUST recharge.  If you are sleep deprived, the brain will eventually just go into REM sleep (dream sleep).  The brain does 90 minute cycles all night.  You won't remember a dream unless you wake up near or when you've had it.  Okay, that said...

Now, I've had dreams ONLY THREE that were about future events in my life.  I was in denial about it but now, well, what can I say?  I dreamed about things that happened years later.  I watched it unfold and was IN denial.  I could NOT believe it.  I think it's GOD's way of softening the blow.  One dream has not come true yet and I hope it does not.  It was NOT pretty.  It was quite serious.

Okay, the dreams that are "prophetic" you will know because they stay with you and you think about them.  They just seem to come to mind without you calling them.  I believe these kinds of dreams are not plentiful, they're more rare but you, yourself will know.

From my experience those that are repetitive are very important.  Most often they are sending a message, even warnings, we need to look at.

They are often difficult to figure out, but if we pay close attention, often the message is revealed.

Other times, I think they just sort out occurrences that might have some meaning, sometimes not.

This is very good.  I did not think of this but believe I was warned and did not heed the warning.  Yes, repetative dreams can absolutely be a warning.  I agree.

I had a very weird dream about my deceased mom we took a plane trip to go see a movie 😄..... I started to analyze it and it was my subconscious thinking about several things I encountered during the week---a very weird movie I had watched Saturday morning....an episode of "That Girl" I had seen involving a plane trip....and a discussion of one of mom's recipies with my sister.....But what disturbed me about the dream is my mom wasn't very happy..... And I asked her--- wasn't that a weird movie and I didnt like the ending, but she didn't respond.... not like my mom at all...😴ZZZZZZ
