I saw a picture of him testifying before Congress & he looked like he'd just crawled out of bed! The least he could've done is comb his hair!

He looked like he had aged 20 years on TV today....he needed a hair cut, and without the stage makeup, he looked old and tired.....I kind of felt sorry for him getting his butt kicked so good today ..... Then I thought about all the money he has made off of lying to America, and I just felt pity for him......

Re: Dr Oz in front of Congress

I watched him when his first shows started and enjoyed what he was saying then. When he started heading off on a tangent, and I have enough knowledge about some of the things he was saying? To me he was outright lying on national or syndicated tv, however his show is telecast, and if there is anything or anyone I do not like it is someone with credentials outright trying to see lies.

Glad the put him on the hot seat, he deserves it. Even some of the information he was talking about in his profession of Cardiology I found things he said that were fudging the truth. He no longer exists to me.

I agree. If Congress is going to after television personalities for lying and misleading the public, the list will be endless. The diet industry has been making millions through fraud for decades. They need to go after the manufacturers of these products and people need to use common sense and consult their own physicians instead of looking for easy answers on TV.

It's always a victory for me when I remember why I entered a room.

Maybe this will be a start, adelle38. Obesity is a huge killer and problem in the US and giving false hope and scamming is dangerous and possibly fatal for some trying these fake supplements.

When he makes unsubstantiated claims about stuff like green coffee he's just a shill. my opinion.

{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}And so is anybody else doing this. This ought to curb some of the claims re products on the shopping networks, as well.

Re: Dr Oz in front of Congress

Today Dan was selling Safeslim....liquid safflower oil to lose your belly. Most QVC customers buying this are obese, out of shape individuals, who need a heck of a lot more than just losing some belly fat.... The vendor and Dan did say to take it AND watch what you eat AND exercise, but I am sure the QVC customer buying this is thinking it is a magic liquid going to give them a lean flat belly. They hear what they want to hear. QVC should NOT sell this kind of diet product.

Re: Dr Oz in front of Congress

Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., asked Oz if he would be willing to create a master list of brands he feels work, instead of suggesting that a general supplement may work for weight loss and then leaving consumers to poke around on the Internet in hopes of finding something.

"I've been actively looking at that," said Oz. "With your suggestion and support, I think I'm going to do it and I think it'll do a lot to drain the swamp that we've created around this area."
