Congress needs do address the abuses of big pharmaceutical and supplement companies, not a television host. He's an easy target and he's not the problem.

When he makes unsubstantiated claims about stuff like green coffee he's just a shill. my opinion.

I think so too.
Me, too. Dog and Pony Show. Big Pharma sets him up as the fall guy in their quest to take away people's ability to buy nutritional supplements.
And Congress people are in their pockets.

I saw that episode where he said green coffee bean extract makes one lose weight and thought it was just so wrong. He has unwittingly invited all the trouble that follows him though he doesn't endorse any product whatsoever. For such a smart man he can be so stupid.

My daughter's in-laws know Dr. Oz well. She's mentioned before he became a talk show host he was a well respected cardiothoracic surgeon. I do not know if he still practices medicine.

I lost all respect for Dr. Oz after his disastrous show about MS.
While I agree that the big pharm companies are at the root of the problem, keep in mind that so many believe everything Dr. Oz says - he may not be the main problem but he certainly plays a role in it.

The show executives saw that weight loss and wrinkles and claims about what to take to speed weight loss and lose wrinkles gave them stellar ratings.... Every day, another food or magic pill....to the point where it became comical. Now Dr. Oz is just a joke and lost his good reputation while making his millions$$$$$$.
I watched him the first year he was on TV. He did the same thing with diets, promoting one (guest of the day) then a week later promoting a totally different one (guest of the day). Totally opposite concepts! He sold his soul to the Devil for ratings (and now they've come back to bite him). He has NO credibility whatsoever except, perhaps, the hospital he practices in...

I saw a picture of him testifying before Congress & he looked like he'd just crawled out of bed! The least he could've done is comb his hair!
