Oh, we have those, too, in New Mexico.
Six, seven inches...

We have em here in Texas too..... Our High School Science teacher brought one to our classroom in a cigar box and passed it around.... They are actually harmless to humans....venom milder than a bee sting...so as long as you arent allergic they arent considered dangerous but they ARE creepy....(BUT their venom IS VERY dangerous to dogs and cats)

Just let them pass...
I took a plant mister that just had water in it and squirted the wolf spider and he scurried away...probably hiding somewhere inside the walls of my home...What was scary a few months after that I did see a tiny baby one dead by my door...I dont really want to know what killed it....😕

WOW y'all do have a lot of creepy critters in NM ...things I never heard of.....
A couple good things about those Wolf Spiders .....the wolf spider eats those big flying roaches. and very dangerous and poisionous recluse spiders.....things I HATE worst of all.

I think it's kind of cute....LOL!

They remind me of the Cootie. About the same size, too...
What's objectionable is that they sometimes have horsehair worms pour out of them when they die.
I'd post photos, but I'd never get that coveted job in the NM Tourism Department.

New Mexico, not Arizona.
But you're right, Arizona has some great bugs, too. We lived there when I was ten and I had the opportunity to see all the bugs I'd only read about in books.

That was mom's introduction to an Arizona ant.
Lemme tell ya about the grasshoppers and cicadas...
