Re: Dolly Parton Dallas Halftime

Dolly is wonderful for all of her charitable contributions.

My only takeaway negatives were her choice of outfit and singing Queen songs.

 Dolly was on Johnny Carson.

Johnny Carson, whom she called a good friend, may have taken the metaphorical cake on toeing the line between professional friendship and personal flirting. He told her on television he’d “give about a year’s pay to peek under” her clothes.

FYiI Freddie Mercury wrote "We Are the Champion" with the idea of bringing people together.

" I was thinking about football when I wrote it. I wanted a participation song, something that the fans could latch onto."    Freddie Mercury 1978

Read the lyrics. Good choice for Thanksgiving in 2023.

Staying true to herself, she delivered a top notch performance.  And, I thought her outfit was spot on for the occasion.  Regarding her song choices,  nice, short, familiar, and lively.  All in all, it was more family friendly than the Packers/Detroit half time where some of lyrics on songs were out of place for a football venue with families.

@Zaimee   No lesson on Queen needed.

It is my opinion I am voicing.  I did not care for her singing those particular songs.

I saw her.  Well..... I suppose for her age, she's done wonders with the surgeries she's had to make her look good.

However, I thought the Cowgirls cheerleader outift looked ridiculous on her.  She might have worn something more age appropriate and celebrity style.  The actual cheerleaders were down stage and they looked lovely and of course younger which had them show her up if you ask me.

Nothing against he women as I've read she's helped out communities through the years.

If she looked ridiculous and age inappropriate than I wanna look like that too.

She is not someone's grandma.  She is an entertainer.  The younger girls didn't show her up...Dolly showed them how it's done.

She admits to having plastic surgery, but PS can only do so much.  She looks wonderful. If you didn't know it was Dolly and saw her pic with her face blurred out,  you wouldn't have a clue she wasn't a genuine cheerleader. Her uniform was a little more modest, though.

May the Lord strike me with whatever she has, and may I never recover.

I just viewed the YouTube of Dolly.  She really rocked it!  She was/is very entertaining and talented. In addition, she looks fantastic!

I thought she was amazing and she is a very humble lady.  She is one of the few that success didn't change who she is.  I enjoyed watching her.

Re: Dolly Parton Dallas Halftime

One of these days all mankind will have to stand before the Lord Jesus Christ and be judged for how they have conducted themselves in every aspect of their life.  Standing before a crowd of people half dressed is very inappropriate.   A women at any age that wants to be called a lady would not go before a crowd of people half dressed.
