Dollar Trees are all so different. Two by me have narrow aisles, and are untidy, a third is clean and well stocked.

I'm often told by a friend in another area about all the finds she gets. Those items are never at my stores.

We don't have one close, but there are two about 30 minutes away in either direction.

I go there to get seasonal paper products, but you have to be early. I get wrapping paper and bags too.

I used to buy primitive decorated battery operated taper candles at a store that is now closed. I knew the owner well, and I miss them. She said dollar tree batteries worked better than the ones people usually buy, so for those candles - on my kitchen windowsill - I use dollar tree batteries, and they last a long time.  Smiley Happy

I don't go inside the dollar store but my husband loves them and it's the only place we can find my favorite Gatorade Zero, Berry.  He used to buy snacks for the grandbabies when they came over. He usually buys a package of chocolate chip cookies once a week.  I can't think of anything else he routinely purchases there.

I have always gone to the Dollar tree but not so much lately as we only have one left near me and it's really hard to get to.  I miss the old price of things really being $1.00!  I always purchsed gift bags, tissue paper, wrapping paper, cards, tape, tissues, some seasonal decorations, candy, artificial flowers, food storage bags and paper plates, etc.  Lots of stuff!

Well, in the past couple years, in SoCal, we've lost  both Bed Bath & Beyond AND the 99 Cents Stores!

Personally, I would rather these stores had INCREASED their prices .... rather than closing altogether.

When I saw that Dollar Trees had increased most one dollar items to $1.25, all I could say was thank goodness the stores are still open!

JMO, of course.  lol

I agree with you.  Increase the price is better than just closing the stores.

I used to love our Dollar Tree.

Not so more. It has gotten dirtier at my location and now with the additonal

$3, $5 and higher items, not so much fun as the prices rise higher and higher.

I still occasionally go in to look around but just don't find as much.

Used to love their cards, $1.00 dvds, snacks. No longer send much cards

and stream any movies I might watch. Always got birthday balloons there,

not sure the price anymore.

Well said, @threecees as I no longer enjoy shopping with Dollar Tree because of so much that you mentioned above.

I now only go in every few months or so just to get a good supply of pain patches that they carry. It's a hard to find brand that works really well for me.

Hi @LIG1

If you ever run out of Dollar Tree Pain Patches, I recommend:

1)  Salonpas Patches that say a big bold   *HOT*     splashed right on the Front Cover of the package. (But they can sting, when initially applied)

I dont even get much pain relief from any other patches marked with Lidocaine.

2)  Salonpas Pressurized Can Spray (Blue can) helps the best, so far, for shoulder pain, back neck pain.  IT STINGS, at first, so start spray carefully testing with only small spray until you acclimate.

3)  Also for a called  "Roll On" product named:   *STOP PAIN* Roll On Product name - (in a rather plain pkg).

Good luck!   Pain *sucks!*  Big time!

And I'm always on a search for relief.

I love Dollar Tree to browse, although don't know about any specials.  I get almost all of my cards there, and aways Christmas bags, tape etc.  Light bulbs, batteries, doggie bags, readers, kitchen shears & candle lighters are a few items I purchase.

I shop there for cards, giftbags, crossword and word-find books. I have also gotten paper doilies and plastic serving trays. I'm sure I could find other things but don't have the patience to browse.
