Love the Dollar Tree for all kinds of things. Readers, cards, tissue, note paper, gift bags, candle lighters, the list goes on.

Re: Dollar Tree

image000000.jpgI go there frequently and have been

impressed with their "Plus" section, especially when it comes to holiday decor. For example, I love lanterns, and this one is great. It came in many colors (I got the black). Also, styles varied and this one has three of the slim, tapered candles of different heights instead of one larger candle--a minor detail but one which made it a little more unusual.

I tried to get s closeup angle shot so you could see the cling window film I put on it. With the raised diamond shape detail, the film wouldn't cling, but I was still able to cut an appropriately sized strip, wrap it around the lantern, and secure it in the back.

I love the way it "obscures" the inside of the lantern so you can see the glow without seeing  the inside clearly. The "flame" is the warm white which I prefer, too, though I couldn't capture the color exactly here. The seasonal pinecone decoration on top can be easily removed and replaced with anything else, so it's versatile.

I also picked up a couple of adorable lit Halloween decorations, but I didn't get there early enough to see all of their offerings; next year, I will. They repeat a lot of their best sellers, I've noticed.

I have always gone to the Dollar tree but not so much lately as we only have one left near me and it's really hard to get to.  I miss the old price of things really being $1.00!  I always purchsed gift bags, tissue paper, wrapping paper, cards, tape, tissues, some seasonal decorations, candy, artificial flowers, food storage bags and paper plates, etc.  Lots of stuff!

Well, in the past couple years, in SoCal, we've lost  both Bed Bath & Beyond AND the 99 Cents Stores!

Personally, I would rather these stores had INCREASED their prices .... rather than closing altogether.

When I saw that Dollar Trees had increased most one dollar items to $1.25, all I could say was thank goodness the stores are still open!

JMO, of course.  lol

The Dollar Tree by me isn't kept up enough. It's so messy, it's hard to find items. I do enjoy watching a Youtube channel called Dazzling Designs by Denise. She uses almost all Dollar Tree items to make her crafts.

dollar tree is my go-to for all of the treats and trinkets I put in my little free library. This week I only spent $20 and got fun stickers, two coloring books, wrapped candies, colored markers, washable crayons, pack of English-Spanish flash cards, matchbox cars.

I dole these items out slowly over time. Always popular as are the bookmarks and of course, the 📚

Ours (a few miles away) is always very crowded, so we 'keep away' during flu / cold seasons.

I thoroughly enjoy browsing and purchasing very necessary and useful items, including birthday cards.

Even food items.  Spices, cookies, etc.

There is always a big purchase each time we visit.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I often stop by when I'm out and about; it's three shops down from Aldi.

I get black note clips, stylus pens, individual moisture eliminators for my closets...

Sad to hear squirrels moved into your Dollar Tree.   Stinks!

This squirrel (me) used to, & hopes to continue to use Dollar Tree a lot, for my own items.  But they're disappearing.

Yes, I love Dollar tree! I go monthly and get all the cards I need for the month and then browse all the cute things. They have nice decorations for every holiday and Birthdays too. It's just a fun place to shop and I can always find something!!
