I used to love our Dollar Tree.

Not so more. It has gotten dirtier at my location and now with the additonal

$3, $5 and higher items, not so much fun as the prices rise higher and higher.

I still occasionally go in to look around but just don't find as much.

Used to love their cards, $1.00 dvds, snacks. No longer send much cards

and stream any movies I might watch. Always got birthday balloons there,

not sure the price anymore.

Not a Dollar Tree, but I found Temptations open stock dinnerware at the local "Lot-Less", 99 cents to $1.99 for plates and bowls!

There are great buys to be found at these stores which I visit several times weekly!  New inventory comes in and turns over quickly.

We no longer have a real dime store where I live. I wonder if there are any left. We had a five and dime store where I used to lived. You could find anything in that store. One year on Christmas Eve I was looking for gold tapers and I could not find them anywhere. Sure enough the dime store had them when I checked. Sadly it closed a number of years ago. I still miss it.

The Dollar Tree in my small city is run by squirrels.  I swear it is.

I buy cards there and gift wrap and bows along with all types of paper goods...plates, tablecloths, decorative boxes,  party stuff, etc.

Occasionally, I will stop to buy something else.  They always have nice bins to organize my closets and kitchen utensils.

I go for the paper products from tissue paper to party plates.  and holiday decorations.  There is a Large selection of artificial flowers for arangements which is handy for me as I change out the flowers of several passed on relatives at the cemetary a few times a year.

@Travone. Are you serious? I LOVE Almonette cookies. My Mom used to buy those eons ago. I would wet my finger and get the powdered sugar at the bottom of the package. I have to go there ASAP to see if I can find them. Thank you !!!! I have never seen those in any other store and thought they were no longer made.

About a year ago, the really wonderful 99 Cents Only stores closed in several states.

I was shocked that any store that stocked things that only cost a dollar would EVER go out of business!   How was that even possible?  Everyone needs places that charge next to nothing!

Well, there was hope they could be brought back to life, but we haven't heard a thing.

Meanwhile .......  The Dollar Tree stores company has really stepped up and opened more locations and beefed up the others ....  I think people are grateful.

I have always gone to the Dollar tree but not so much lately as we only have one left near me and it's really hard to get to.  I miss the old price of things really being $1.00!  I always purchsed gift bags, tissue paper, wrapping paper, cards, tape, tissues, some seasonal decorations, candy, artificial flowers, food storage bags and paper plates, etc.  Lots of stuff!
