Yes, it'a very small town. Not too far from me.
It was a 75 year old woman. She left the car running with the a/c on so the dogs wouldn't get hot. One of the dogs knocked the car into gear and the rest is history. ![]()

And this differs from how people in my town drive in the local Walmart parking lot?

You'd have thought that car would have been a Subaru (if you are familiar with Subaru commercials, you'd know why).
Good thing these dogs weren't texting!!! The accident would have been much worse!!!

This is sad on so many levels....the owner did not use good judgment and I'm grateful that no one was hurt including the dogs. I'm sure there will be follow-up...

Good ending so we can all laugh. How many times have we read that someone left the car running while they ran back into the house to get one more thing. Not long ago an unattended car was not properly put in park and it went down a slight grade and into a house. Small children briefly out of parents sight get the keys and go for a ride. Not long ago there was a news brief with scenes from a cop car camera. He saw a car on the road but no driver. On closer look it was a young boy. He followed him home. Luckily no damage to people or property. #1. Do not leave your keys in the ignition #2. Use your emergency brake as it is intended. Dogs and children both love to sit in the driver's seat. Things have a way of happening in a flash.

Well at least the little lady left the A/C on for them. That's something right?

Or went into Anton Yelchin, killing him.
There are many tragedies; I'm glad this dog story wasn't one of them.

Did the dog at least have a learner's permit?
