Re: Does this Sound Familiar?

[ Edited ]

Am wondering if it is some kind of International kidnapping rings like they have in Italy or parts of Europe. The authorities have arrested some involved in robbing Celebs homes which were an International ring.

1973  Kidnapping of  John Paul Getty  III - movie

" All the Money in the World ".

There was the kidnapping of Frank Sinatra Jr in 1963 .

He was returned after the ransom was paid and they were caught in the end

@haddon9.  I know that area around New Hope. One of my college art classes toured the large workshop of furniture maker George Nagashima and met him.  I have a beautiful walnut slab coffee table that my parents bought from another artisan furniture maker in New Hope.  We took many trips to parks in that area.

I believe my niece lives in Hopewell.

@Kachina624 I live only 15 minutes from New Hope.  Many years ago back in the late 1970s when I was living in NJ I went to New Hope and was so impressed when I was able to see the George Nagashima workshop!

I didin't get to meet him and he's no longer alive but his daughter now runs the studio.  If you make an appointment you can tour the studio which I never did but gave it some thought.  I really love the style of his furniture!

That's a beautiful area where you live @haddon9 .  I love going to New Hope, going through the shops there.

@Kachina624 It is very pretty here and I also like going into New Hope & Lambertville across the river.  I go into Peddler's Village a lot too.

Today is going to be the coldest ever since I have been living here in more than 30 years.  Very windy in single digits with wind chill - 16!!  We were going to go out to dinner tonight but I think I'm going to cancel and stay in.

@haddon9   Thank goodness it is sunny.

One good aspect is when you are walking - you are walking at a faster pace.

@drizzellla Yes it is sunny out right now!  However, I'm not walking amywhere today! Smiley Happy.  I think the cold & wind would take my breath away!

The garage is icy cold and the laundry room which is right next to it is very cold as well!

We got back from Sam's over an hour ago. Just walking / fast walking the parking lot was exercise.

I am doing the wash now. We have an oil filled plug in radiator in the laundry room just for windy cold days like this.

Unusual for so much snow to hang around this long. Guess that is why our birdfeeders are so busy. The squirrels have made tunnels under the snow. We are putting more seeds on the ground than in the feeders. There are so many critters to feed.
