You guys DO know, right, that the stories in the bible are just stories - written by men eons ago and revised a million times over the centuries. Just stories. None of it is actually true.
Hi, chickenbutt! It’s not all about religious faith, which is why I said it was just one of the things that bothers me about it.
The tricks of the trade have been exposed and the perpetrators debunked. Also, we humans are terrible eye-witnesses, so anecdotal stories are problematic. Ask any judge or attorney (I’ve worked with them, and have friends in that field), and they’ll tell you they prefer other evidence over eye-witness testimony because we simply aren’t good at noticing and remembering actual, factual details. And in cases like those involving psychics and mediums when you add emotional flooding, all bets are off.
As I said, I have no problem with magicians who are honest about what they’re doing for the money they charge. I do have a major problem with the charlatans who are misleading people, playing upon their emotions, making money under false pretenses.

IF she is speaking or seeing people that have passed, I am sorry to say, that I don't believe those people are in heaven. The Bible says believers that are absent from the body (died) are present with the Lord. It says nothing about them wondering around being seen by mediums. If she really is seeing these people that have passed on, sorry to say, they aren't in heaven. This is my opinion.
To me, that's like saying she's not a genie, she's a wizard. Neither one is real, so I don't think the distinction makes a difference.

So many negative posts on this topic. But, some positives.
Christian fundamentalists - taking everything in the Bible literally? Really? Read it all closely then. Also, put all of it in historical perspective. I was raised a strict Southern Baptist. Not one any more but I am a faithful person.
As for Theresa or any real medium - I believe that God has give her/them a true gift to be able to provide comfort and messages from heaven or the spirit world. What a wonderful gift to our difficult, often sad world!

You have no idea how much your post has been on my mind and I have been praying that God will show you just how much you are loved.
Many Blessings.
Bluegrassbaby and chickenbutt,
I had the same reaction to chickenbutt's post. I have the same prayer for her - that her eyes will be opened to the love that is there for her, just for the asking.

Of course we believe in eternal life for everyone. Where you spend this life depends on if you accept the gift offered by the work of the cross. That is the simple, but major tenet of Christianity. The spirit of the believer is present with the Lord in heaven at the moment of death, not wandering around the earth waiting to be observed by mediums, psychics, or the likes.
