@May5   I tend to watch my PBS stations more and more.  They only do the fundraising weeks about twice a year (and I do donate once a year, usually) and the rest of the time is blessedly commercial free.

Quality and a variety of programming is available from them and you watch without any commercials.

But for me, actually, I don't mind commercials since I grew up with them.

My oldest grandson, when he was three, asked me when was the story coming on or back.  He was not allowed to watch much TV and his parents knew all the recording tricks, etc., so I explained to him everything isn't instant and to be patient!

It's almost like you need a recap to remember what went on before all the commercials started.....
