French Toast Syndrome. The eggs, milk, and bread rush was happening when I bought a few groceries last Friday since I knew we would have snow today. Amazes me how people rush to the store and empty the shelves...as if we will be snowbound for a month or more.

I've livin here in So CA all my life and that doesn't happen here.
Looks like all people hae to do in a snowstorm is EAT. I notice that many are obese and overweight. Seems many need to curb the eating and look towards staying healthy. .
@Puzzle Piece So where are these obese people you always see? They must be where you live or you would t see them.
@Puzzle Piece - Well, I live where we get snowstorms and, no, not all we have to do is eat.
We have to shovel, plow, clean up, dig out after storms and that burns off calories. So I'm also interested in where all these "obese and overweight" people are that you've seen.
Oh! That's right - they've moved to California! Is that it? (Maybe curb the judgement and generalizations a bit. California is a big state and I don't believe for one minute that every "obese and overweight" person there is from "out of state". Or even the majority of them.) ![]()
And if you've lived in California all your life, the chances are that you have no idea what it's like living in a New England winter. You know, surprisingly, we have fit people here, too! Outdoor winter sports, gyms, the list is endless. Shocking, I know, considering we're not trying out for Hollywood.

No, we've never done that. But for some, I sure do understand it.
Have to admit, knowing winter is right aroud the corner, we stock up on soups, and kleenex and things if we might have to be in for a few days. We learned a lot living in N.D. for many years.
