What would this solve? Just someone's curiosity. If a UFO were to land on Earth, someone would what to "study" them and eventually take them apart to see what they are made of. Leave it alone.

If you believe the conspiracy theorists, THAT already happened, and they have footage. by the way, I'd be more inclined to believe Henry VIII had syphillis.

Henry having syphillis? In that case, you're wrong. A lot of people during Hnery's time said that as a criticism (to say the least) of him, but even the doctors of his time knew he didn't have syphillis. But that's part of my point: an exhumation and examination would clear up a lot of these questions.

BTW, who said anythig about a conspiracy theory?

As an intellectual curiosity, I could see it being done. However, from a cultural/historical perspective,  I don’t think it would add much to British history. I doubt the queen would approve.

I think you're probably right, but I'd sure like to know. And, anyway, those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. (i.e., a mentally ill ruler not being properly treated for hiss/her illness.)

Absolutely not! I just read the other day that she has been approached numerous times about exhuming some of the Kings and Queens buried under Westminster Abbey and she turned them down flat. Will not even consider it. I agree. Let them rest in piece.

What a ridiculous proposition to make. There is no discernible benefit for exhuming the body. Those proposing this should move on and find another hobby.

Queen Elizabeth will never give the crown to Charles!  William, yes, Charles --NO!  Charles is next in line, but I can't see him as king.

BTW, there's a spoof on the royals on Netflix, called "The Windsors".  Do not mistake it for the series about the actual royal family!

It's hysterical!

from the Anne Boleyn files

No.

That is just my opinion but I believe it for the following reasons:-

  • I don’t want to see a mess being made of St George’s Chapel, a place of worship.
  • It sets a dangerous precedent and we’ll have ancient tombs being unearthed all over the place.
  • It strikes me as disrespectful in that we would be doing it simply to satisfy our own morbid curiosity, it does not benefit us in any way.

If renovation work was being carried out on the Chapel then I might feel differently, but it’s not.
