Re: Do you own this Keurig coffee maker?

I have it and mine also broke in a few months. I called keurig and emailed my receipt to prove that I owned it less than one year. They also needed the serial number from the brewer. They sent me a label to ship it to them free and they sent me a new brewer. It works great so far…. It’s about 6 months now with no problems.

I have had this Keurig model for 6 or 7 years with no problems, use it daily.

Re: Do you own this Keurig coffee maker?

We have this model and had a hard time getting the descale light to go off.  I looked on youtube, found how to descale.  Did that.  The descale light went  off !! BUT...  the unit didn't run.  I looked on YouTube and found that the thermostat sometimes needs resetting after descale.  There are videos on YouTube showing you how to reset the thermostat.  My husband took it apart and reset it.  But my lord, what an ordeal!  You have to practically rebuild the thing and the inside looks like a science project. It runs now with no  descale light on.  So complicated. I could never do that myself. Good luck.

We have this Keurig that we bought from Costco. Have had it a few years and we LOVE it! No problems whatsoever. My dh is my descaler and does it religiously.

Re: Do you own this Keurig coffee maker?

@northiie57  I have had no problems with my Keurig.  When the descale light comes on you need to put it into descale mode.  Keeping it plugged in but powered OFF press and hold the 8 oz and 12 oz buttons then start the descale process.  When the descale light goes off (and yes it sometimes takes a few cycles of brewing  before it goes off.  In the beginning I thought the brewer had a problem as the light wouldnt go off.  It will, it just takes a number of cycles.  I thought a couple of cycles would do it.   I found sometimes it takes quite a few brew cycles.   When it does finally go off then you need to press and hold the 8 oz and 10 oz buttons.  Even though the light is off you still need to press those buttons when complete.

The "descale" process is annoying, but for me I don't want a big pot of coffee since my husband and I drink different types.  So I put up with it and do it.  Just be sure to keep brewing a cup until the light goes off.  It will, but again sometimes it takes quite a few cups.

I have posted several times about this, there is a descaling problem with these.

Re: Do you own this Keurig coffee maker?

thank you so much ladies Smiley Happy  I decided to unpack my old Keurig and deal with the upgraded one when I  get ahold of customer service.  My older one actually works well and even makes the coffee hotter than the upgraded one.  I still have a good amount of kcups to go through

I'll never buy a Keriug because all I did was descale

lit my sister said hers didn't last long.  She said to get a cuisinart. Coffee is always hot.
knock on wood,  after 3 years it's still running.  No problem.

It turns it self off,for good if you run it too many times in a row.

Re: Do you own this Keurig coffee maker?

I have a Keurig, tho not this model.  It's about 3 years old and the descale light never has come on in all that time.  I do the cleaning solution when I think about it, maybe 2x a year, is that considered descaling?  Have to say it works faithfully every morning - and I think I have jinxed myself.
