I've not been in touch with anyone I went to high school with and have never been to a reunion.

No, and I don't know why not. Those were some of the best years of my life. I also attended a large school of about 6,000 and we had a great crowd of friends. I guess it's just laziness and getting caught up with other things.
What I'd really love to do is have a 6th grade reunion with my 30 or so classmates. Boy, that year was the best. We were all super smart and had a blast. We were just beginning to grow up that year. It was fun.

No
Especially not now
They're all just a bunch of old ladies & old men
Loved your post. I am with you, I want to remember everyone as they were and have no interest in seeing everyone as they are now. It was a fun time in my life but it's over and I prefer just to have my memories.

I knew a lot of people in HS but probably only a very small % of all those there. Some of my classes had 100 kids in them. We had a class that graduated in Jan and one in June every year because there were too many for one graduation. Even as it was we graduated on 2 different nights - the kids who were on honor roll or had awards for any reason plus those whose name started with A thru G were first night and H thru Z the second night. If I recall correctly there were about 3 valedictorians each night. I guess this is a joy of being a baby boomer.
DH and I do keep in touch with a few close friends from HS and I have friended some of my classmates on FB - but really, I will not , nor would I ever want to, attend my class reunion. 50 years this year though since graduation.
I keep in touch with my oldest and dearest friend, we were 10 (I beleive) when we met she is my dearest and closest friend to this day...56 years of friendship is such a blessing, thank you dear friend!

Just one or two. My best friend from high school still lives there. I moved there the middle of 8th grade. It was a small combined high school at the time, but they were building a new junior high school, so we were the youngest class for two years. I met her walking out to the field for gym class my first day at the school. We were in each other's weddings, and I can still pick up the phone and talk to her like it was yesterday. I miss her. The reunions have petered out - maybe we'll have a big one someday. We dragged our husbands to our 10th, and they spent the whole night sitting at the table talking to each other. For our twentieth, we went without them! (We had to spend the night with them because we lived really far away.)
One other friend I kept in touch with for a while, but she moved down right before her senior year and has no interest in going to any reunions. She lives far away now too.
I had a great time during high school - and college. I have some wonderful memories. ![]()

Absollutely!! I went to an all girls hgh school and graduated in 1950. We had only 112 girls in our class, and we keep in touch often and regularly. Luncheons four times a year, which are hard for some of us to attend from other states, but we get sets of photos on the internet, so we see everyone who attends. Emails, of course. And someone always serves as the person who keeps up to date with address changes, deaths, etc. I can't imagine not keeping in touch with all these special friends of long standing.

We must have graduated the same year and same date! Small world. June 6th would have been my 50th anniversary too. And no, I didn't attend. None of the friends I had in high school go to them. Those who do were in the clicks.

Nope. I went to our 10th reunion and realized I hadn't talked to one person since HS graduation. Never went back.
