Yes, reconnected with many on Facebook, and volunteered to be on our 50th Reunion committee coming up next year! Plus I have met many that I did not know in HS, and have made new friends, which is hard to do in your 60's! Our reunion committee meetings have been fun, and reminiscing old HS days! I was not popular in HS, not smart, just an average ordinary student, but this has been fun and I am glad I volunteered!![]()

I started first grade and graduated from HS with the same set of friends. We did everything together and our children when to school together too.
We are still the best of friends. There are four of us... And I am the oldest, by a few months.

@Carmie Wow, that's amazing! I went to 2 different high schools, two different junior highs (no middle schools in those days), & a different school for 6th, 5th, 4th & 3rd. So what did I do when I grew up, went to work as a civilian employee in an Army medical center, where friends moved on afer a couple of years. I've never learned how to have a friend for more than two or three years!

Sadly, I lost touch with my high-school friends before I hit 30. I knew many of them from elementary school all the way through. We all left town and then my parents left town, so I lost track of them. Our class had roughly 750 students, though I feel like I knew most of them. I suppose that's not really possible, so I guess I didn't know who I didn't know.
I ran into a few schoolmates when I was in my 20s: One two years older who I didn't think knew me in a college cafeteria, one good school friend in downtown Boston (we had a nice little walk together), and one in the emergency room of the local hospital (she had this thing on her arm that had swelled up and I had a virus or something). I don't live near where I grew up anymore, so the chances are slim to none that I'll run into anyone from my hometown again.

No I don't keep in touch. I am also a baby boomer, but there were only 100 kids in my graduating class. My town was small, kids went away to college or whatever and most never came back to live. My parents lived there until 10 years ago. No desire to keep in touch.

Yes with a good number of them via FB. We have our own group and are on it every day chatting back & forth - it's quite fun.
Our HS has what they call All Year Reunions ie usually July 4th wkend every HS class who graduated from the city's HS. It's a small town so it's very possible to do this. Of course then each class has their own periodic reunions. I will say however, I've never been to any of mine.
45 years this year
