I don't do this, but my mother does. She is 90 and lived through the depression. She always states that DH and I are wasteful.

My parents lived through the Great Depression, also. It made a huge and lasting impression on everyone, I think. There have been threads on here about how those people saved, recycled, and reused. They were ingenius at it. Necessity is indeed the mother of invention

I cut open tubes and containers to get every bit out. Sometimes there is quite a bit product left.

DIL, has always made fun of my son and me. We've threatened to run the car over the tube to get the last bit out. Ahhh like mother like son.

Yes! Actually, I have a container of Aloe Vera (with pump) turned upside down, sitting in an empty can. There seems to be almost 1/2 cup of aloe vera that I plan to use on my feet, for a cooling effect.

Oh man, aloe vera gel is the worst. Well, I mean it's the best and I've used it for 30+ years on my face, neck, and hands.

But getting it to migrate to the top of the bottle takes forever and a day. I still do it, though!

p.s. I also use aloe vera on my feet just before getting into bed. It's very cooling and soothing.

I think aloe vera gel has been my favorite skincare item. I'm only 59, so no wrinkles yet but I wonder (assuming I get that much time) if, when the times comes, I will continue to elude the dreaded wrinkles.

It's inexpensive too!
