Re: Do you cut open products ...

I use a toothpaste squeezy thingie and add water to shampoo, conditioner and liquid soaps.

Food in bottles, jars or tubes I toss when it gets near the bottom.

I go to extremes to squeeze out every drop of cleansers, shampoos and toothpaste, but I'm with Clover about the remains in a mayo jar...yuk.

Those toothpaste things are great! I got this one that's just a long plastic thing with a slit in the middle. You slide the bottom end of the tube in and just push it up as you use. It works brilliantly.

I never even knew there was such a thing until, many years ago, some eretailer, from whom I made purchases, tossed it in my box as a freebie. I think it was organize-everything.com or something like that (it says it on the side).

I have one of those toothpaste squeezer things, but I still don't think they get every last bit out. You can still get one more brush full if you cut the tube.

Re: Do you cut open products ...

Of course. Why waste it? This is especially helpful with tubes of, say, facial masks, foot scrubs, or washes. When no more can be squeezed out, I cut the tube in half to access the product that's stuck to the inside of the tube. Then I slip the top half over the bottom half so it doesn't dry out. When both top and bottom are really empty, I toss 'em.

I add water to shampoo when it's almost gone. Then I shake it up before adding it to my hair when showering. You'd be surprised how much suds it makes. (i.e, Nick Chavez)

I also use the toothpaste gadget when the toothpaste is nearly gone. That is, if I can find it. You'd be surprised how much toothpaste you can get out of the tube with this gadget.

I've never done that, but it sounds like a good idea. Mine is pretty tight so the whole tube is completely flat. The only kind of PITA part is what's still at the very top, but I'm pretty good at pushing that out. ha! Smiley Happy

I do when I know there is a lot more product left in the tube. Recently did it with sunscreen. There was a lot left in there.

I do it with my facial cleanser and moisturizer.
