Yes. I started late, but have kept records for 4 years using name, author, book or Kindle, a brief description and a number rating (1-5) with comments. It is a good way to remember what I have read since I read a lot. I also wish I had started young, but doubt I would have.

cookie-I keep a list of TBR (to be read) books in my phone. If I'm reading something else and a new book is mentioned that I'm interested in I can easily jot it down (so-to-speak) in my phone. I also keep a list of what I've read. Partially b/c I was in a book club for a bunch of years and we referred to these lists a lot. Also, I find that if you read a lot, sometimes you forget, at least initially, if you've read something or not.

gimama ~ My list includes unread book/kindle as well! I mark them when I finish reading. I keep the whole list, which now has over 800 books since I started. I have only read a little more than half of that though. Glad there are at least two of us.

Ditto, cookie.
Nice to know I'm not alone in my list-keeping! And btw, I LOVED reading that you can look at your list and see that you have 800 books on it. Seems like a nice little accomplishment. A personal one, but an accomplishment nonetheless. I can look back in my phone a few years OR in a little journal I kept years before the phone and see how many books I was reading, on average, in any given year. Interesting to look and see how certain life events or other stuff (having children, for instance) affected how much I was reading.

I have to keep those to sites in mind because I'm always looking for good audiobooks.
