@dancingwoman.  Happy Anniversary to you and dh.

I used to love the "Made in Colorado" shop in Ouray.  The ice cream shop is very good too.

Here's US Highway 550 in Colorado.  The Southern end of it is 4 or 5 miles from my house and is a four-lane boulevard.  No guard rails on this road.

Not driving on that road. I would freak out.

We use GPS sometimes. It can take you off track at times. DH always uses Google Maps for printed directions plus a current Road Atlas when we go out of state traveling.

If we are familiar with the area we know when it keeps trying to take us through housing additions etc instead staying on track? Always does this in Montgomery, Al.?

The road construction here seems to never end, but GPS doesn't keep up with all the changes and lane closures;  it doesn't include all the new exits or newly-named roads they have added; I don't even try and use it now and I feel sorry for out-of-towners. DH is also a road atlas/print-out Mapsco kind of guy when we take a road trip.

I don't 100% trust GPS.  it has no brain.

We once were in Cape May, NJ and needed a new small table top TV.  I don't remember all the details, but our GPS tried to take us to LEWES, DE on the ferry to get to a store that had one in stock.

My husband was driving and I had to really scream at him to stop.  He was in the driveway at the ferry terminal.

Men will go anywhere the GPS tells them to.  Even if it is a stupid idea.

I still laugh about that one.

Oh yeah...

My husband and I were on a mini-vacation several years ago.

This was when separate GPS units were still popular.

We were traveling in Minnesota in an unfamiliar area, and I think that we were trying to get to a store or some place, and the unit had us take a frontage road that ended in a dead-end stop with nothing there except a dirt road! Smiley LOL

The maps in the unit weren't updated to show the changes to locations then. That was a common ocurrence that we probably all remember!

yes, on our last vacay our little lady in the box, took us down a few roads we hadn't toured yet/before. Then she gets to someone's driveway and says, "park the car here and walk to your destination".  Yeah!!!!??????  10 more miles, I think not!!! Eye roll!!

On the quote under your picture, I'd write, "No, your other right!"
