Oh yes, I sure do remember it. I hated PE to begin with and then that stupid song only made it worse.

Used this for morning exercises when I first started teaching 1974 Kindergarten Coconut Grove Elementary, Miami, Florida. No air conditioning!!!

Yes - but not fondly. In one semester of junior high gym class, exercising to this song was the first thing we did every day.... in our blue bloomer gym suits. Ugh. The whole class knew the words and would sing along while we exercised.

I had the privilege and honor to see Robert Preston and Mary Martin at the Colonial Theater in Boston back in 1966 (maybe) 1967. I wore that album out and, of course, that was best 2-person show I ever saw. There were both the best!

Oh yes, I remember. Every gym class. I don't know if it was kindergarten, or 1st or 2nd grade. "give that chicken fat back to the chicken, and don't be chicken again, no, don't be chicken again". Even back then, this annoyed me: "come on, girls, your in it too". As if exercise was a boys only thing.

Could be an inspiration for that popular Village People song:
Young man etc etc etc
and then
Go you chicken fat go!
I so remember the humiliation of the blue bloomer PE suit that the name had to be ironed on. No wonder my 600 yd dash was lousy. Hurdles, anyone? I didn't think so!
