the song "Go You Chicken Fat, Go" by Robert Preston?  I was just cleaning chicken thighs to make chicken and noodles and all of a sudden started singing that song.  When I was in high school, our PE teacher would play that at the beginning of the hour (the song is about 8 1/2 minutes long) and we would do the exercises in the song;  touch toes, sit ups, etc.  Maybe I should not admit it, but the song came out in 1961, but that was a few years before I was in high school.  Maybe I should start listening to it again and let that be my morning exercise program.  (Although I doubt I could keep up with it now.)  By the way, if you want to listen to the song it is on you tube.

@wismiss I never heard of that song but it's amazing how a song can transport us back in time and provide so many memories!

Now I'm off to search for Go You Chicken Fat, Go!

Yes!  I had one of those small LP records and would play it every morning for exercise back in the day. 😁

Yes. It was used in my elementary school gym classes.

@Mary Bailey, Oh, yes, I remember that one, too.  How can I remember the lyrics to those old songs but have to write down everything now?
