I use my Bank's Bill Pay and on occasion the payee's website. I still use checks for local shopping.

Somebody could use that information electronically to complete a transaction with the right combination of circumstances.
I keep a lot of money in my checking account so I watch it like a hawk (a chicken hawk, I guess. ha!).
Also extremely helpful for any of us who do ANY kind of transaction online is to have all the cards, debit and credit, set up to contact you in your manner of choice (I get emails because I don't text) with any transaction is done without you actually running the card into a machine yourself.
It's absolutely no hassle at all to get these emails and I feel safer in looking and deleting them when I know the charges are legit.
I don't keep that much money in the checking, Can always see that it can have $$$ added if necessary. I am covered through my bank if anyone tried to get my money......that is a necessity in today's world.
