Do You Ever Just Take a Day Off?

I got up this morning with a list of things to do and guess what?  I haven't done a single thing on my list.  I've putsied, read my book, looked through the catalogs received in the mail, posted several items here, and just have done very little.  I may regret it tomorrow, but it sure feels good today.

@wismiss    I have many days like you describe.  I have good intentions but often don't get much done.  When you live alone, there's not much incentive; everything will still be there tomorrow.  I find the less I do, the less I want to do.

@wismiss

Nice job. Now all ya gotta do is quit making those doggone lists.

@wismiss  I am retired and I do it more than I'd like to admit to.

I've done it quite a bit since Covid started in March. It's hard to get moving when you're feeling down.I push myself a lot.

@SeaMaiden    That's what I always say.  I make grandiose plans for the next day in the evening, but they often don't come to fruition.

My goal is to do at least one "project" a day - but that can mean doing laundry, which is simple, or Swifter my floors - that's it - then it's time to read -

The moment I retired, I stopped feeling that I had to do anything - so, yes, many days taking a shower is my project.

Most everything else can wait.

Right before I fall asleep, I plan what I will do the next day. If I accomplish one of those things I'm happy. Today I slept in , read, and took a nap. Was it productive , no, do I care, absolutely not.
