My friend called for reservations the first day she could make them. That is why she was able to get reservations to several highly desired restaurants. That is why she doesn't want to cancel any of the reservations. With additional people she was not able to add them to all the reservations. But she is still worried about all the reservations she did make and not having people show up or pay her.

Drizzella, could she contact everyone who owes her and tell them that if she does not have cash in hand by the last day to cancel, she will cancel the ones not paid for? Some people just forget and some will let you pay for it all if you really want to,lol......

If I were your friend, I'd make reservations for my family only and let the others fend for themselves. They may not be hungry at that time or want to eat at those restaurants.

She can email the people traveling with them and give them the phone number to make reservations themselves.

Just say ""NO'.

I agree. She needs to take care of her family. A friend of mine went with 2 families and she just took care of her family.

That is a good idea but she does not know or ever met any of the latecomers. People she does not know are inviting themselves and wanting to bring their boyfriend or girlfriend.

She is a smart woman - she will work something out. I think she wanted to find a solution that worked well for everyone - since it is her husband's family. But I suspect there is going to be some hurt feelings.

OH WOW! Just found out her Dad is going to step in and put the reservations on his credit card. When he found out he said "I'll take care of it". What a guy.

drizzellla,

tell your friend if she and her family have a chance, to eat at the California Grill.

It is located on the 15th floor overlooking the park and it has the best food at Disney Smiley Happy

I haven't been in several years, but California Grill has always been my favorite, too.

That's nice of her dad,....I hope everyone has a clear understanding of who is paying for what......or is he doing it and not expecting repayment?

Jannabelle - Her Dad is not expecting repayment. He is doing it because he wants his 2 year old Grandson to have a good time, his Daughter to have a good time and his Son-in-Law to have a good time and not to worry.

What started out as the parents wanting a family vacation with the 4 siblings and families. Has grown into a mess. The parents are paying for 3 kids and their families. But are not paying for my friend and her husband and son. Because my friend's family has their act together and the other 3 kids not so much.

That is exactly why my friend's Dad stepped in. He could see that there is a lot of drama before they even got there - he is trying to resolve one problem. My friend wanted to make reservations, while she could, at restaurants where the rest of the family said they wanted to eat. Only the rest of the family wanted to wait until they got to Walt Disney World before they made the reservations.

The California Grill has always been a favorite of mine too. I will pass that on. But I suspect she is one step ahead of me. She has a spreadsheet of all the reservations and information about the Dining Plan on the spreadsheet.
