I read earlier today that SS is to be blamed for the delay. IRS asked for information a few weeks ago for those who get benefits from the Federal Gov, and only this morning (Thursday) SS sent them to the IRS.

Those who file taxes and receive any form of SSI were able to get their deposits because IRS had their information.  Those who didn't file and didn't have to, IRS asked for the info and SSI took it's time getting the info  to the IRS.

I'm one of them. I received the other two early, so why don't they still have the same Info

Not enough information yet(we're working on this) so obviously the IRS doesn't even update that site as they say they do.

The SSA apparently provided the information on Thursday yet it makes no sense. The Treasury Dept has all the info it needs to direct deposit our SS checks monthly and the first 2 stimulus checks so nothing has changed. Just stall tactics because they don't care about seniors. As if we don't pay the same thing for gas, utilities, food, insurance and everything else. I'm barely surviving these days just paying for those basics.

I'm getting the same info.  Yet they had young people on the news, taking theirs and showing how  are gambling it away in Las Vegas and laughing about it.  True it's their money, but people need it for just living expenses. Soon I will have to cancel the enormous cable bill and just keep the internet. Living in CA is high, but at 84, i can't move for many reasons.  Since covid everything has increased in price.  Gas is over 4.00 a gal. I time my errands, all in one area one day and the same another time. Yes, it will sure help, to just go to the dentist next week for teeth cleaning at 300.00. Got my own teeth and want to keep them.

300 for a teeth cleaning  !!!!!!!! Believe I'd change dentist techs. Dentists don't do them anyway just the techs.

Don't know how anybody lives in that state.   My teeth cleaning is less then 100.

Anybody else just got their checks ? Wonder if there is a deadline for when they look to get it done ?

The average cost runs at about $150. However, when you include X-rays and consultation fees, the average standard teeth cleaning price doubles to $300.  In Cal.

Not everywhere in CA.  My recent cleaning, the amount billed and paid by my insurance was $85.

I can see $300 for teeth whitening but cleaning is usually under $100. Anyway, maybe it depends on where you live.

I went to where my HMO would give me dental ins.  It Was 80.00. Now I had to leave my dentist of 15 years and I totally trust him.  I am going there

for the cleaning this time because, recently I had to have a bridge, two crowns,a root canal and he saved another tooth by putting in a post.

The bill came to over 11,000 dollars.  The man is such a kind h

earted person.  He told me I would only be charged around 3000 which was for the lab and the root channel and post. HE WAS NOT CHARGING FOR THE BRIDGE OR THE TWO CROWNS. HE SAID HE WAS HELPED THROUGH THE YEARS

AND IS IN A POSITION TO PAY IT FORWARDED.

For two years I had my teeth cleaned where I had ins.  I didn,t know he was going to give me this break. I went to him for all the work, because I trust him, not the dentist with the cheaper cleaner.  They don,t do the cleaning, and I don,t know them  They would not have done the work he did.  I want to patronize his office.  Also it,s covid and I felt safer in his office than the cheap office. I was in the chair 3hours with breaks in between.  Only one there. He only takes one patient at a time. I have gotten him lots of referrals.   He is also so painless and a very caring human being.   I love and trust this man and his office staff.

I don,t need to explain, but I want to so it lets you know why I am paying that amt. Today he said I don,t need xrays or for him to come in and check, but he will and not charge me(See what he did in Dec 2020 below) my cost will drop to 220.   See below as to what he did for me.  He said I remind him of his mother.  He gives everyone a break..

Re: Direct Deposit Stimulus check!

DH and I haven't gotten this last stimulus ( didn't get last one either as we sold a rental which pushed us over the limit). We filed our taxes last week, so they should use 2020 return and we'll be OK).  I called the office of our Congressman about our situation and was told to wait until 1May and if no check they'll look into it.  We may have to claim it on next year's taxes.  We don't desperately need it and will get a healthy tax return.
