I got the same message. I assumed we would not get a check this time,but I just ate my words. I just rechecked it again and....we got a deposit! (along with a notification about a letter) I am shocked! We never gave the IRS our checking account. The last two we got was a debit card & a check. But the IRS has fingers everywhere. they know everything. They certainly got their information!

@Ttownlady Check the porthole again later. We had gotten the same message as you did (earlier) We just got the deposit today.
LOL I knew you all thinking by not giving them your bank information didn't mean nothing. Bet your husband is fuming. Anyway, congrats !

They can get their greedy hands on anything! Everthing you do finacially, the IRS knows!

@Ttownlady from what I've read, the checks are deposited on Wednesdays. Also keep checking your mail incase they send a check or debit card.

all I will say because Q will poof the thread and right now everything is smooth, we're all behaving. I just want to see how long it will take us to get ours as opposed to everybody else.

@songbird surprise, surprise, surprise. The IRS knows everything. My neighbor was looking for a check but last Wednesday she received a direct deposit. She gets SS so that's where they got the Bank information from.

Just like you, she received her first two by check.

I'm just the opposite. The last two times I got DD and the $600 payment was almost immediate. Nothing has changed for me. I don't file income tax. The "where's my stimulus" site says either I don't qualify or they don't have enough information, which makes no sense to me. The IRS site says not to bother contacting them because they get their info from SS and can't process payments until they have that info yet they ARE processing payments for SS recipients so clearly they must have the info. I've spoken with people who got checks the last 2 times but DD this time yet others who got DD the last 2 times but got a check this time. None of this seems to make any sense and there's no rhyme or reason to anything, only frustration for many of us! :smileysad:

You have no idea how much I hate the IRS. They are so sneaky and get their grubby hands in to everything! I am furious. Nobody can escape them. They seem to watch everybody 24/7 financially.
