Only child here, I did inherit and sold it because my parents lived in Mississippi, I live in Alabama and already owned my home. It was located in a very small town, not suitable for this city gal.

No, but I could, and I hope it sells quickly. I do not want it.

No. Didn't inherit it, and don't have any emotional attachment to it either. A house is a house.

Parents wanted their house and 90 acres to stay in family so they signed it over to the 6 of us 16 yrs ago.
Mom is in severe dementia now and Dad was lonely when we had to place her in a nursing facility so he moved into the same facility and they have a room together. They have money set aside but it costs $500 a day for them as a couple so $ is going quickly.
House is used by 2 siblings for several months each year and my older brother will eventually live there when he's retired.

Yes. My parents inherited my maternal great grandparent's home when I was four. We lived there until I was ten. My parents sold it and bought another home which I lived in through college. They sold that house and bought another house when I was twenty one. My sibling and and I inherited that house plus another home that mother had bought after my parents had died.
I have fond memories of the first two homes as I had grown up in them.

Raised by only my mother along with 3 older sisters. The home that only my mother and myself lived in when she died, was titled in my name. That was done only for me to be able to claim "head of household" to the IRS.
My mother was getting less than $90 per month from her SS, our mortgage payment was $105 per month. I paid for everything for many years before my mother died. I told that to the IRS, but since the home was in my mother's name, I could not claim "head of household". Lost several thousand $$$ to the Feds that year.
The house of course was mine, along with the remainder of the mortgage. It took me 3 years to sell the home, and I sold it for less than it's appraised value. I just hated living there after my mother died, too many memories of the last years she was alive.
What I received for the sale of the home barely paid off the remainder of the mortgage, and we had lived there for over 18 years. My sisters and I distributed the furniture and other things without any issues. I pretty much just wanted things I needed for my apartment and I had actually bought for our home.
Inherit? That is not the term I would use in my case in regards to the home. My sisters were all married, so the home was not "our family home", it belonged to my mother and myself, for many years after they all were married.

My parents gave us our inheritance while they were still alive; the house belongs to my brother.
