Did Anyone Watch Date Line Tonight?

I am not sure who killed Carol Kennedy. Do you have any ideas?

No! I just finished watching it and I'm more confused than ever. Did the husband do it or not?

Re: Did Anyone Watch Date Line Tonight?

I don't think he did it. There is no way, considering the scene of the murder, that he could have killed her without leaving some evidence that he was there. Also, there was none of her blood found in his home, on his bike, or on him. I think it's more likely the tenant did it.

The evidence did not support a guilty verdict. All they had was supposition without any proof to back it up.

Can't/shouldn't convict without supporting evidence. It's a right that we must preserve in order to prevent innocent people being thrown into jail for just about anything.........

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

What happened to the right to a speedy trial? Sitting in jail without parole for five years is wrong.

That only applies to the first trial, not appeals. He was tried and convicted, correct? That was his trial. Unless a mistrial is granted, it's all just appeals after that.

Re: Did Anyone Watch Date Line Tonight?

It seems so unfair.........and the crazy tenant she had..........maybe killed himself? It is like we all need to make sure we are with someone or keep all receipts so we can have an alibi. Scary. I hate those daughters spent all their money on his defense for nothing. Yet jurors in Florida would have made him NOT Guilty..........I guess it is where you live.

He was in jail five years waiting for his first trial. Nothing at all to do with appeals.

Re: Did Anyone Watch Date Line Tonight?

Suppose that someone close to you is murdered and you are suspected. Think what the investigators could make of any email searches you've made, comments you've made, maybe even joking comments, books you've read, tv shows you've watched. How you reacted to the news. G forbid if you didn't ask how the person was murdered, they make a huge thing of that assuming you didn't ask because you already knew.

That tenant had his DNA and Carol's blood on a door handle and they still decided it was the ex-husband.
