@sabatini    I know what you mean about the mountains.  My trips to Colorado are spiritual ventures.  I'm very fond of our Sandia Mts. here in Albuquerque.

We haven't hit 100 yet here in Colorado Springs. We just got plummeted with ping-pong-size hail. Shredded my trees and stripped pine needles/cones all over the place. Got one heck of mess to clean up tomorrow. Wonder if my roof is damaged? It's an older roof so it probably needs replacing.

@Kachina624     I just looked at both the PHX and ABQ weather reports.....ummmmm, "this" heatwave is gonna be with us for more than a couple days.     Then, the monsoon will be moving in from Mexico.   YIKES!  di

@Desertdi    Apparently this dome of high pressure hung over Mexico for weeks before slowly moving North.  We've got days of 100° temps ahead as I'm sure you do too....in spades.

I wonder if it will eventually move over the Midwest?
