Re: Daylight Saving is already worldwide

Interesting but Daylight Savings time is still a pointless inconvenience.

Re: Daylight Saving is already worldwide

@GingerPeach   there already countries and regions with time zones on the half hour and 45 minute offsets!

it's very confusing when doing business.  We are GLOBAL Economy!! Everyone seems to forget this.

The US is at varying latitudes. Planting Zones anyone?    Sorry for the Arizonians but your geographic latitude naturally has longer summer daylight hours than Boston or Bangor. Your climate is desert!   In New England we plant after the danger of frost has passed!

i worked for a F100 Elecrtronics  firm.  My role was support for Strategic Business Units.   Engineers coordinated with global partners for test sequences, product introductions and  conferences.

i set the analog Clocks in our Library for each time zone we did business with and included the spring forward/fall back times.  I had to physically climb up and manually set these clocks while calling NESTLES (the time/temp phone #).  Our company office in Bangalore, India was always on the 1/2 hour.

(I don't know why my boss never wanted to spend a few bucks for an Atomic Clock array so we were stuck with the analog clocks)

these countries' /povince/resgion's timezones are 30 min/45 min offsets:

Most of the current kitchen appliances are set to automatically change the time. So now what? It's not that hard to give up or gain one hour. I don't get the fuss.
