These warehouse fires are getting suspicious.
A Walmart distribution center in an Indianapolis suburb caught on fire Wednesday morning, sending plumes towards the sky.
Fire and police officials were on scene at 9590 AllPoints Parkway in Avon, some 15 miles west of downtown Indianapolis.
The Brownsburg Fire Department classified the blaze as a 5-alarm fire.
Employees were transported by Plainfield school buses to a reunification site, officials said. Walmart praised the efforts of first responders and referred all questions to police and fire personnel.
The Indianapolis airport, which is only a few miles away, said flights have not been affected and there was no impact on operations.
The fire has sent debris around the neighboring area, prompting a warning from Bargersville Fire Department Deputy Chief Mike Pruitt not to handle them.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

I heard that 1 A.C. unit caught fire. It reminded me of the Qvc warehouse that burned down months ago.

When you think of the possibility of what items could have been stored in that warehouse it could be very concerning, especially to the air quality.

..Around 1,000 employees were inside a Walmart Distribution Center in Plainfield, near Indianapolis, Wednesday afternoon when a fire broke out. Thursday morning, the fire was still burning and fire crews were battling hot spots in the middle of the building.
The distribution center is about 1.2 million square feet, about the size of 20 football fields. Fire crews had the fire contained to the Walmart distribution Center, officials said.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives will be the lead agency in investigating the cause of the fire, which could take weeks, Plainfield Fire Chief Brent Anderson said.
"ATF is doing some interviews with some employees that were on site and in the area of the fire," Anderson said. "Right now we have no idea what may have started this (and) no reason to believe it's suspicious or anything. We will do our due diligence over the next coming days or weeks to figure that out."
Crews from the fire department were doing training nearby when the fire broke out and were on the scene within three minutes of being notified, he said.
"This doesn't happen every day, but we train for it to happen every day," Anderson said. We were well prepared."
Mario Cruz, has worked in the stocking department for three years at the distribution center. Cruz said they stocked everything from clothing to food to electronics at the distribution center and that there is always a lot of cardboard inside.

It's still being investigated - last that was reported was a $20K reward for info about the fire (this was in Feb) but nothing else has come out since.
