I was surprised to learn he was married to Tai Babilonia, the ice skater who skated pairs with Randy Gardner. My mother absolutely loved them and we went to see them skate a couple of times.

I know, I heard that about a year ago but they got married in 2011 I think.

The article I read said he was survived by his wife Ruth.....

eta: I've read two other articles that say his wife was Tai Babilonia so I guess the AP story was incorrect.
