I've never darned a sock. If they get a hole, out they go. 


Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@Poodlepet2  I'll have to make a point of seeking out those patterns you mentioned.

 

I learned socks on DPN's, even size 0, which are like kniotting w/ toothpicks. I use very fine silk/cashmere/nylon (for strength) fingering wools and decorative heels like the pidgeon's eye.

nope, have never darned socks......not even in home ec class.

i just get rid of the socks and buy new ones.

i dont even wear socks that much myself.
