My nephew has a starring role in his school play- middle school. I am unable to attend the performance, and would like to send him a gift. Any ideas?

My middle school nephew works with a certain local theater group, he is in a show every 4 months, I usually write him a note and put a $20 bill in it after each performance, I go to see every one of them. I just tell him to treat himself to something special from me. Perhaps they can send you a tape of the show.

A gift card from his favorite gaming store, fast food restaurant, or how about a free movie ticket?

I remember when my neice was in The Wizard of Oz back then- I bought her a Wizard of Oz picture frame. She loved it! Maybe something related to the play he's in?

Is it possible to get a picture of him while he is performing and then have that framed? I think that would be an excellent remembrance. Or, if his parents are doing that, maybe the write-up of the play coverage from the school paper or local paper and have that framed.

My niece was in several high school plays - musicals. I never thought to buy her a gift. Oh well!

Another idea might be to get a few of the programs and make sure that the page with his name is framed along with the front of the program that has the name of the play.
Kids always love money, but as they say on the Q, when it's gone, it is gone. Nothing of remembrance.

How about treating him to tickets for a local community or professional theater? You could even take him to see the play.
