Daily Positive Thread for Wednesday

Hello my friends! Today's blessings - being with Darla here for a short time, and later we will be at AppleBees with her in-laws, time is short - so this is short too for now. Please, did you all see Felicia's post on Tuesday's thread? PLEASE pray for her!!! That's a long surgery!

God wants us happy right now and continually points us in that direction

even when we look the other way. Lord, grant that nothing will turn me

away from doing Your will.

Scripture for the day:

"You show me the path of life. In your presence there is fullness of

joy; in your right hand are pleasures forevermore." ~Psalm 16:11

Meditation for the day:

We can hold our lives in trust for God. We can think deeply on what

that means. Nothing is too much to expect from such a life. We can

begin to see how dedicated a life in trust for God can be. In such a

life miracles can happen. When we are faithful, we find that God has

many good things in store for us. God can be the Lord of our lives,

controller of our days, of our present and our future. We can try to

act as God guides and leave all results to God. We need not hold

back, but can go all out for God and the better life God promises. We

can make good our trust.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may hold my life in trust for God. I pray that I may no

longer consider my life as all my own.

Answer: Nothing

Nothing is more powerful than God.

Nothing is more evil than the Devil.

The poor have nothing.

The rich lack nothing.

If you eat nothing, you will die.

My child,

Give up! Give up those hurts of the past. It's time to move on. satan

loves to have you live in the past because that renders you ineffective to

live in the present-in the now.

Tell Me, child. What is it that has happened to you? Who hurt you?

What mistakes have you made that you regret? Did what happen to you change

the fact that Jesus loves you, and He died on the cross for you so you

could live in heaven with Him for all eternity?

Can anything or anyone ever change that fact? You know that nothing

can ever nullify what Jesus did for you on the cross. If that's true, and

it is, then nothing else matters, does it?

There is nothing that can happen to you, nothing anyone can do to you

that can ever change the fact that My Son, Jesus, loves you and died on the

cross for you so you gain heaven for all eternity. No one can ever take

that away from you. No One!

Hold on to that thought. Put things in their proper perspective. When

you do that, you'll see that being loved unconditionally, attaining

salvation and the right to go to heaven is your ultimate goal. Everything

else pales in comparison to that.

Even physical death cannot take heaven away from you, for then the real

you-your spirit-just changes abodes. Physical death for Christians is

moving from living in the temple of the Holy Spirit, your body, to living in

heaven.

I know, My child, I know. Your mind is often filled with hurtful

things that happen to you. Sometimes you even say to people "You don't know

how much it hurt Me when such and such happened." Well, I ask you again,

does what happen to you in the past change the fact that Jesus loves you and

died for you, and now you can spend eternity with Him in heaven? I don't

have to wait for your answer, because I know immediately your mind said,

"No!"

Then, child, nothing else matters! Compared to eternity, all problems

are nothing. Loving Me, being in My family, gaining the right to live in

heaven for eternity-that's what's important in life. If you lose that,

you've lost it all. Don't hold grudges. forgive! Nothing you can gain on

earth can make up for that loss, and nothing can happen to you on earth that

can take that away from you- Nothing!

Love,

God

BEYOND DEATH

Author Unknown

A sick man turned to his doctor, as he was leaving the room after

paying a visit, and said, "Doctor, I am afraid to die. Tell me what

lies on the other side."

Very quietly the doctor said, "I don't know."

"You don't know? You, a Christian man, do not know what is on the

other side?"

The doctor was holding the handle of the door, on the other side of

which came a sound of scratching and whining, and as he opened the

door a dog sprang into the room and leaped on him with an eager show

of gladness.

Turning to the patient, the doctor said, "Did you notice that dog? He

had never been in this room before. He did not know what was inside.

He knew nothing except that his master was here, and when the door

opened he sprang in without fear.

I know little of what is on the other side of death, but I do know one

thing: I know my Master is there, and that is enough. And when the

door opens, I shall pass through with no fear, but with gladness.

THE PERFECT HEART

One day a young man was standing in the middle of the town proclaiming that

he had the most beautiful heart in the whole valley. A large crowd gathered

and they all admired his heart for it was perfect. There was not a mark or a

flaw in it. Yes, they all agreed it truly was the most beautiful heart they

had ever seen. The young man was very proud and boasted more loudly about

his beautiful heart.

Suddenly, an old man appeared at the front of the crowd and said "Why your

heart is not nearly as beautiful as mine." The crowd and the young man

looked at the old man's heart. It was beating strongly, but full of scars,

it had places where pieces had been removed and other pieces put in, but

they didn't fit quite right and there were several jagged edges. In fact, in

some places there were deep gouges where whole pieces were missing.

The people stared - how can he say his heart is more beautiful, they

thought? The young man looked at the old man's heart and saw its state and

laughed. "You must be joking," he said. "Compare your heart with mine, mine

is perfect and yours is a mess of scars and tears."

"Yes," said the old man, "Yours is perfect looking but I would never trade

with you. You see, every scar represents a person to whom I have given my

love - I tear out a piece of my heart and give it to them, and often they

give me a piece of their heart which fits into the empty place in my heart,

but because the pieces aren't exact, I have some rough edges, which I

cherish, because they remind me of the love we shared. Sometimes I have

given pieces of my heart away, and the other person hasn't returned a piece

of his heart to me. These are the empty gouges -- giving love is taking a

chance.

Although these gouges are painful, they stay open, reminding me of the love

I have for these people too, and I hope someday they may return and fill the

space I have waiting. So now do you see what true beauty is?"

The young man stood silently with tears running down his cheeks. He walked

up to the old man, reached into his perfect young and beautiful heart, and

ripped a piece out. He offered it to the old man with trembling hands. The

old man took his offering, placed it in his heart and then took a piece from

his old scarred heart and placed it in the wound in the young man's heart.

It fit, but not perfectly, as there were some jagged edges. The young man

looked at his heart, not perfect anymore but more beautiful than ever, since

love from the old man's heart flowed into his. They embraced and walked away

side by side.

How sad it must be to go through life with a whole untouched heart.

Because of my sins

I know that because of my sins,

I don´t deserve Your Mercy,

but I ask You to remember

Saint Faustina´s

spirit of sacrifice and self-denial,

and to be gracious

to her faithful love of You

by granting the petition

which I make to You now,

with childlike trust

through her intercession.

Amen.

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Wednesday

Bad news, The cat scan showed many tumors on my liver. I have liver cancer I ask for your prayers. I see a specialist on the 8th. I am losing weight as I cannot eat. Nothing digests. I am putting my faith in Jesus. He will heal me or take me home. His will be done. Absent from the body is present with the Lord. That is what the Bible says. I will see Jesus and Buck, my beloved husband. I believe I can be strong in the Lord at this time and perhaps be a witness and a blessing to many. I hops so. Again, lease pray for me. Blessings to you.

Prayers to you BobbieSue, but do not give up hope.

I don't know if they did biopsies of any of your tumors. Some could just be nodules or scar tissue/lesions and may not be cancerous.

They can treat cancerous liver tumors with chemo embolization. Not conventional chemo therapy, with the typical side effects.

They do wonders with liver transplants and resections. You can even get a LIVE liver donor (someone under 55 who can donate up to 65-70% of their liver and it will grow back within months!) and you will live a long happy life.

Don't give up hope!
