Daily Positive Thread for Sunday

Hello my friends! Darla called me this afternoon, it looks like she'll stay there - her boss gave her a raise, and told her that she is a top performer! Sure can't blame her since the raise is bigger than what Metro offers, and all the jerking around they are doing, still not settling yet, but she's made up her mind - sure her heart is here with us and her friends in Mpls. etc. but at the expense of working at a lower rank college than what she's in now, and for less money? We believe she's made a good decision - and we accept God's Will for her. Still praying for a Miracle for her - for her back to be healed for one! God knows what all she needs and still needs a lot of prayers. Her husband, Greg, is so proud of her! So that's an answer to prayer, in God's way as He knows best. I believe she'll get another opportunity at St. Thomas University yet in St. Paul, when they hire again, that's a top rank school, and she's wanting to get in there! When the time comes, God will open the doors for her!! Blessings for today - 1) talking to Darla, 2) got a lot done today and 3) Linus took me out to eat for chicken! What are your blessings? Praying for you all for all your needs. May God grant healing to all who ask for it.

The choices we make today have far reaching effects. Lord, please guide

me in all of the decisions that I make.

Scripture for the day:

Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves,

you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to

death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? ~Romans 6:16

Meditation for the day:

I can arise from the death of sin and selfishness and put on a new life of

integrity. All the old sins and temptations can be laid in the grave and a

new existence rise from the ashes. Yesterday is gone. As my sins are

forgiven, I can honestly try to do God's will today. Today is here, and the

time of resurrection and renewal approaches. I can start now, today, to

build a new life of complete faith and trust in God and a determination to

do God's will in all things.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may share in making the world a better place to live in. I

pray that I may do what I can to bring goodness a little nearer to the

earth.

Prayer for a Generous Heart

Father in Heaven, you have blessed us with many gifts.

You chose us before the world began,

To be your adopted sons and daughters,

And to live through love in your presence.

Give us wisdom and insight to know your purpose;

Give us courage to follow where your Spirit leads us,

Give us generosity to serve you in our brothers and sisters.

We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.

(DVC - Based on Ephesians 1:3 ff.)

Forever

"Forever" she said.

"Forever," he said.

First day of life and they made the vow to be together forever.

"I need some room," she said.

"I'll will always be here, just call for me" he said.

Ten years old and they made the vow to always be there.

"Does he like me?" she asked.

"I'll find out," he said.

Twelve years old and he made the vow to show her who loved her.

"He doesn't love me anymore," she said.

"I will always love you" he said.

Fourteen years old and he made the vow to show her love forever.

"Nobody loves me," she said.

"I know someone who does," he said.

Sixteen years old and he made the vow to love her forever.

"I'm getting married," she said.

"I'll be there," he said.

Eighteen years old and he made the vow to forever give her love.

"I got divorced yesterday," she said.

"I'm here for you," he said.

Twenty years old and he made the vow to be there for her forever.

"Why doesn't anyone love me?" she asked.

"I have always loved you," he said.

Twenty-two years old and he made the vow to keep on loving her.

"I could never just love you," she said.

"I could never stop," he said.

Twenty-four years old and he made the vow to never stop loving her.

"I can never see you," she said.

"I have lived in your heart from the day you were born," he said.

Twenty-six years old and he made the vow to live in her heart forever.

As she lays dying,

"I'm sorry, for not always loving you, please forgive me" she said.

"I told you I will always be here for you, I am here!" he said.

Twenty-eight years old and he kept his vow as her body lay in an open

casket he turned to her and said, "You shall come unto me to live and be

loved forever."

"Forever," she said

"Forever," The Lord said.

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Sunday

Gloria so happy that Darla has gotten more money at the school she is at now.

We will just have to pray that the St. Thomas job opens up very soon again.
