Hello my friends! Peace of the Lord Jesus be yours!! Today's blessings were many, found out Lori is planning on spending tomorrow afternoon with us and that's something to look forward to, and tonight we went to the Café for supper - saw Jim, had a really nice visit with him again, hadn't seen him since before Christmas. He came and sat with us and we had a nice visit. It was great! This was the spur of the moment, had no idea Linus wanted this until he got home from work today. It's always a blessing there at the Café! There we are entertained with great piano playing too! Time is going fast when Linus leaves for Texas! It's Wednesday already! Say a prayer for his safe flight. And Pray for peace in our troubled world.

Today do what you can and expect no more of yourself. Lord, I will

feel joy in my accomplishments today and gratitude for the things

I have to do tomorrow.

M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y

Spirit-power comes from communication with God in prayer and times of quiet
meditation. I can constantly seek spirit-communication with God.
This is a matter between me and God, but can be enhanced by my relationships
with other believers. From this communication can come life, joy, peace and
healing. Many people do not realize the power that can come to them from
direct spirit-communication.

P R A Y E R F O R T H E D A Y

I pray that I may feel that God's power is mine. I pray that I may be able
to face anything through that power.

Prayer for Avoiding Sin

Hear, Lord, the prayers we offer from contrite hearts. Have pity on us as we acknowledge our sins. Lead us back to the way of holiness. Protect us now and always from the wounds of sin. May we ever keep safe in all its fullness the gift your love once gave us and your mercy now restores. Amen.

To the Lord.

7. Lift Up !!...

Your Prayers.

The Cross prepares the soul for patience

The Cross opens Heaven and earth together, that is, God and the soul.. The virtue of the Cross is powerful and when it enters into a soul, it has the power to take away the rust caused by earthly things. Not only that but it gives the soul boredom, annoyance and scorn for earthly things, and instead it gives it the taste for Heavenly things. But the virtue of the Cross is recognized by only a few, that is why many despise it.

Hi Gloria, You didn't miss my birthday. It's on Monday, the 9th. Thanks for posting yours, as well as the bread recipe. Harlene's work is amazing.... I couldn't imagine being able to do it.

Today I have lots of time to prepare for supper tomorrow night. DS is coming over, and we'll celebrate my birthday. I decided to make my moms stuffing as we're having chicken. DS and I love it, and it's something I actually enjoy cooking. There aren't so many of those things, so I'm going with it.

It's 14 degrees outside, compared to 5 yesterday morning. It looks like it may be another beautiful day. I'm very grateful every day, especially to have my family and friends. Wishing everyone a good weekend! Hugs, pinky

Hey Pinky glad you liked the card, I know your birthday isn't until Monday, but I just wanted to make sure it got there on time. Your birthday and Lucy's are on the same day March 9th. I will be 75 on November 14th.

Gloria, I don't know if that was a record snow fall for the year, but it was just TOO MUCH for me.

Praying for a safe trip for Linus and for Darla to get good news on her tenure.

Gloria, I am making a novena to Our Lady Of The Miraculous Medal, right now. I sprained my left knee real bad on Wednesday trying to get on my Recumbent Bike, of all things and it is very painful. I had seen the bike on th Q a couple of weeks ago, but when I made up my mind to order it naturally kit was sold out, so I had to get it somewhere else. I do need a little help getting on it because of my Sciatica I need help getting my right leg up on the pedal. When I tried to do it myself that's how I sprained my right knee trying to pull the other pedal down. As I always say everything happens to me and "ick Tracey". Please say a prayer for me.

Happy Early Birthday, Pinky! Enjoy your Birthday week to the fullest!!! Nice you can have your celebration with family tomorrow night. My sisters, the one who turns 90 and the one who turns 88 - their birthday is March 10th. We'll have a 90th birthday party March 14th. Lori will take me and my sisters, as Linus will be gone to Texas then.

Saying a healing prayer for your vision, Bobbiesue, that is scary, have your eyes checked quick! That would drive me nuts. But have someone drive you.

Harlene - I'm so sorry to read that about your knee- I will surely pray for it to heal quickly too. That has to be very painful!! May our Blessed Mother, who cares for us so much, and loves us so much, intercede for your fast healing. I'll say some Memorares for you! Ick Tracey - LOL Funny!! Maybe call him Richard!
