Hello my friends! Well today we took my tablet in to a tech place to get my charter emails to go out - I could receive but couldn't send out, so the guy did a little something on the setting, and it got fixed. Now I'm trying to learn how to copy and paste from there, if I can. I learned how to do folders this afternoon, but just checking things around, but copy and paste is a mystery yet. I'm thinking of if that works for me I could still send out the thread with the inspirations I have picked out. If that doesn't work, we can still have the thread going, as I can post on there from the tablet. I'll see what I can do - I have until the 22nd to learn more. So the blessing today was getting that fixed, and another blessing - no charge! Praise the Lord for that!! After that we went out to Olive Garden with a Gift Certificate from Father Mark he gave us for our Anniversary - had Marsala chicken - my fav over there. Do they ever have some good soup!! Had their creamed chicken dumpling soup with spinach - Yummmm!! I had that instead of their famous salad. Another blessing!!
May God grant you answers to all your prayers! God bless you!
Make it your goal to be someone that you would like to spend the rest
of your life with. Lord, help me approach my day interested in everything
that happens so that my life will truly be an adventure.

"If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have
love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal." ~1 Corinthians 13:1
M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y
"If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have
love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal." Love means to care
enough about other people to really want to do something for them. A
smile, a word of encouragement, a word of love, goes winged on its
way, simple though it may seem, while the mighty words of an orator
can fall on deaf ears. We can use up the odd moments of our day in
trying to do some little thing to cheer up another person. Boredom
can come from thinking too much about ourselves.
P R A Y E R F O R T H E D A Y
I pray that my day may be brightened by some little act of charity. I
pray that I may try today to overcome the self-centeredness that can
bore me.
Scripture Reflection by Patrick Carnevale

Is.41:13-20; Ps.145:1, 9-13; Mt.11:11-15
It's very comforting to hear God promise to help us the way He does through
the prophet Isaiah this morning, unfortunately not everyone "has ears to
hear" or is "willing to accept" what God has to say. This isn't anything new
of course, it's been going on since Adam and Eve and shows no signs of
letting up, and that's why I believe it's so important for believers to
spend a little time in God's Word every day to try and counter that trend. I
don't think we need Jesus to remind us that this is a "violent" world that's
slowly but surely being "taken by force", anyone who can't see that needs a
set of eyes to go along with those ears Jesus refers to, and the only way
we're going to be able to make a stand in the midst of it all is to use
those eyes and ears by placing our faith in what we've seen and heard God do
instead of the empty promises of this world that will take everything we
have, including our very lives, if we follow what we see and hear it telling
us to do. Yes, our prophet tells us God wants to "satisfy the desires of
every living thing", Jesus told us the same basic thing when He declared "I
came into the world that they may have life and have it more abundantly"
(Jn.10:10), and the more time we spend in the Word the more we will not only
be able to both see and hear that Truth but the easier it will become for us
to live it in spite of all the violence that goes on around us.
God bless you,
In Jesus - Pat

WHY JESUS IS BETTER THAN SANTA CLAUS
Author Unknown
Santa lives at the North Pole ...
JESUS is everywhere.
Santa rides in a sleigh ...
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.
Santa comes but once a year ...
JESUS is an ever present help.
Santa fills your stockings with goodies ...
JESUS supplies all your needs.
Santa comes down your chimney uninvited ...
JESUS stands at your door and knocks, and then enters your heart when
invited.
You have to wait in line to see Santa ...
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.
Santa lets you sit on his lap ...
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.
Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or
girl, what's your name?" ...
JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He
knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even
knows how many hairs are on our heads.
Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly ...
JESUS has a heart full of love.
All Santa can offer is HO HO HO ...
JESUS offers health, help and hope.
Santa says "You better not cry" ...
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you."
Santa's little helpers make toys ...
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and
builds mansions.
Santa may make you chuckle but ...
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.
While Santa puts gifts under your tree ...
JESUS became our gift and died on a tree.
It's obvious there is really no comparison.
We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about.
We need to put Christ back in CHRISTmas,
Jesus is still the reason for the season.
Yes, Jesus is better, he is even better than Santa Claus.
Mother Teresa Said...
Life is the greatest gift that God has bestowed on mankind.
Since man is created in the image of God, it belongs to Him.
We have no right to destroy it.
Meditations by Padre Pio
One day a spiritual son asked him: Father, how can I increase my love?
Reply: by doing your duty with exactitude and upright intentions and
observing the law of the Lord. If you do this with constancy and
perseverance, your love will grow.

Good Morning! I wanted to stop in early, as I'm finally getting out today. I've been home since Sunday morning after mass, and it will be nice to get some things done, as well as just take some time for myself. The stores will likely be busy today, so I'll try to stay relaxed and remember there's no need to rush. Traffic is hard to predict here, so it'll be a surprise.
Gloria: Good luck with the tablet! I hope you get it figured out before your trip. We got 7 or so inches of snow, and the road and our driveways were plowed around noon yesterday. The main roads will be good today.
Harlene: I forgot to mention the other day that my hip issue cleared up quickly on it's own. A nice change of pace!
Hello to everyone who posts or reads today! Have a good Friday, and a good weekend! pinky

Good afternoon!
I thought about getting out today but I changed my mind. Yesterday I did a couple of errands and the sunshine felt so good. Although it was chilly, the sun helped warm things up.
Gloria, sorry, can't help you with the tablet. Harlene may have some pointers for you, she gave me a few when I was trying to work my way around mine, still trying! lol I mostly read or play games on it.
Hope your day is going well, Harlene.
Pinky, enjoy your day and be safe.
I don't have much to say so I will hush for now.
Enjoy the rest of your day, take care and may the Lord bless you with all good things.

Pinky Ann - Glad you are not rushing - good thing the roads are good now - still that was a lot of snow that fell there! At our Cathedral in town they have a noon Mass daily, well from Monday to Friday, and we haven't been there for a long time, so went today for the Feast of Our Lady of Guadeloupe - and here we were surprised that my cousin, Father Jerry, did the Mass!! Lots of singing because he loves to sing! It was great!! Two years ago today we made our consecration to Mary - through Jesus, we took that course on 33 days to Morning Glory by Father Michael Gaitly and it's a great course, great book to read! We are so glad we made our consecration and we can renew it every year, although in our morning prayers we renew it also, a shorter version. Beautiful prayers. I'll keep trying with the tablet, if I cannot copy and paste and use it like here, I'll just ask someone to start the threads and I can email the thread to them, that shouldn't be hard to do either, and I can post on it. We'll see what happens.
Lucy - Well, maybe you are right and Harlene has a tablet and can help me. But next Thursday, Friday and Monday I work at Lori's office, until the day we leave, and there I should get some help with either Lori or Christine there. Christine has her own business there too and they both share the rent. It works out great for four years now. So you have a tablet too? Is it a Samsung? I just played a game on mine, it was soo slow though. My smart phone is faster than that. I will hush now too!!
