@catlover7777  That is a nice friend! 😊  Hope it's ok to link this. The purse forum has a Dooney section and the people there are wonderful with giving tips I linked the Dooney rehab thread but you can  search all posts (you dont need to sign up to search&read ). If you find something that works let us know!

Re: DOONEY BAG NEEDS CLEANING

If it's that dirty - like she carried her cat in it - - I'd trash it and go to D&B website and look for a new one on sale.

Some friend she is...................I'd choke using it

Re: DOONEY BAG NEEDS CLEANING

She should have at least cleaned it before giving it to you. I would start with a lint roller to get as much off the lining as possible, then Lysol spray or wipe. Then check YouTube for more ideas.

I spray the inside with upholstery cleaner a little at a time and work it in with an old toothbrush.   Let the bag dry overnight for about 24 hours, then vacuum.  Repeat if necessary.

Re: DOONEY BAG NEEDS CLEANING

Go to the Dooney website, type cleaning in the search bar.  You get the cleaning instructions for all their fabrications and leathers.
