When exchanging something with QVC it's such a long process. You send your item back, hoping by the time it arrives your new color or size is still available, but you also have to wait for the return to be received and processed, which can take a long time, and then wait for the replacement item to be processed and shipped.  The whole thing can take 2-3 weeks.

I recently purchased something from HSN, a clothing item.  Shipping was a bit slow, but it arrived Thursday.  Upon opening the package I immediately noticed a flaw on the sleeve.  I tried it on anyway and it was a snug fit.  I checked the reviews and found others had this problem too. They still had the right color and a larger size.  I filled out the exchange info online and they are shipping the replacement right away, without needing the original piece back first.  They gave me a window in which to get it back to them so I'll have it at the post office Monday morning.

Re: Kudos to HSN on an Exchange

IMO, HSN does many things better than QVC.  Hard to believe they are owned by the same company.

@JeanLouiseFinch  I returned a dress about 8 years ago and that was also the procedure then. Didn't know they were still doing this. Great.

This is not accurate... actually QVC is now better than HSN in terms of handling Exchanges as well as Returns

QVC Easy Returns - it's a dedicated team with a specific email address: QVCEasyReturns@qvc.com. I send an email for all exchange and return requests. Typically they respond by next day, or in some recent instances within 2 hours. If a credit is due to me, it's immediately issued even before I drop off the package at USPS.

HSN will still charge a return shipping fee for exchange requests if your requested exchange is not available.

With QVC Easy Returns, they will immediately ship the exchange request if it's in stock. If it's not in stock, they confirm via email your account will be credited the full purchase price and shipping charges + no return shipping fee.

And HSN returns process takes much longer in terms of receiving credits. They make you wait until your return package is received and processed which can be several weeks. The only exception that I experienced was with a defective item. In this case, H issued an immediate credit.

I recently called HSN about a return package that had been recd at their warehouse per tracking. CS told me it's another 7-10 days before they will issue the credit 👎

I hope that HSN implements an Easy Returns process in the sameness of the QVC Easy Returns. It would greatly improve the HSN experience.

I'm speaking of my own experience, which has happened as recently as Feb./March, and another one this month, but of course you can't resist trying to prove me wrong or discredit me.  It figures.  I had two Barefoot Dreams pullovers to exchange, sent them off a good week and a half ago.  I called the other day to see if they were there and was hoping they could send the correct ones because I wanted to take them on a trip this week.  The CS said they would not/could not ship ahead of receiving the original item.
