@Abrowneyegirl

I would like to know the time span between each test was taken, and the results?

I have heard that some of them definitely share info, but don't quote me because I do  not recall WHICH ones those were.   There was a big thing about that not too long ago.

@Moonchilde Yep I saw that I was just telling my experience with 23...

Its too bad your're having problems with FTDNA....Until DH mentioned getting me a kit for my birthday I hadn't really done that much research on the subject...Then I started reading and basically it came down to Ancestry and 23...I picked 23...I was surprised how many DNA sites there were  for testing....

DH always said because of my lightness and facial features...he didn't think I was all Italian even though there are light Italians....I'm very pale..and don't tan...That must be where the Scandinavian comes in...My hair is pure white now..it never went to grey when I got older..always was fine and straight and blond....It was a surprise about the Middle Eastern too but if you think about it thousands of years ago people were migrating all over...

Its good you are telling everyone about a FTDNA...I think the more aware we are of trusted testing the more accurate the results will be...DW

I'm not worried about being tracked...from my DNA testing...

We are tracked every day...when we are on our computers...cell phones...vehicles...Cameras everywhere....The electric and water companys know how much utilities we are using...thats how they caught alot of people as growers...they could tell they were using more elec and water than normally....It happened here in Colorado..in my town...that was before it was legal...only a couple years ago...

The only true way for you not to be tracked is to be completely off the grid...with everything...and live in the woods away from civilization....DW

@Abrowneyegirl ... Yes, I did 23andme and received my results. My two sisters are doing the Ancestry kit (the $99 one). They have not received their results yet.

There is a youtube video of a lady who did those two kits and received similar information from both companies. I'll let you know how my tests compare to my sisters. It could be another 3-4 weeks before their results are in.

I paid $99 to Ancestry.com on June 6th and they sent the kit to me and they claimed they received it on June 29th. They started testing on July 18 and I have yet to hear a word. Slow process....

One of my friends had it done on her dog also.  I loved reading the results!

Nice to see this thread go from a question being asked...to  response's that are some hearsay...to those who actually used the DNA testing kits and gotten positive results...or even negative..

I'm sure there is some validity to those who heard negative things but I like myself to hear from those who actually had experience with the testing...that way I can make an educated choice based on results others have experienced...I mean no offense to anyone..DW
