Re: DIsneyworld trip help

I would continue to research prices, but  A Disney trip is not cheap and there just aren't many ways to cut corners.  We go three times a year.  Staying on Disney property has enormous perks. Once you get there and park your car, unless you want to do shopping elsewhere, you never have to leave.  The food courts are wonderful.

We just went 3 weeks ago and stayed at Disney's Caribbean Resort.  My room had a king sized bed, a corner room, however, the adjoining room had two queen size beds.  We faced the river, was close to the pool and nice seating areas around the lush, tropical grounds. Bus transportation to any park or Disney Springs is free.   It was probably much cheaper than trying to rent a condo for four people.

By the way, we save, save, save for these trips. And, when I book directly with Disney, I can pay monthly.  Like I said, it's not a cheap place to vacation.

Good luck and have a wonderful time.  It really is magical.

@homedecor1

You will absolutely love Caribbean Beach!!  It's our favorite moderate resort and I've stayed there often.  The grounds are so lush until you think you are in the tropics.  The cast members are wonderful and very accomodating.  You will see a big, big, difference in the budget resort and the moderate and you are going to love it.

Have a wonderful time.  November is a great month to go. My daughter was married at Disney in November and it was amazing.

I think Carribean Resort is undergoing major refurbishment construction.  If not now, then slated in the very near future.

Firestripes, The Caribbean Beach Resort (I stayed in it when it opened, around 1990) is the oldest of the "moderate" properties.  That's not a negative in that the landscape is lush and full grown and I think this resort has the largest rooms in the "moderate class."  The bus ride to the parks is a bit longer but it's a nice, relaxing resort.

@Beautiful life

Disney's Caribbean Resort is indeed a Disney property.  Don't know what you were looking at, but it is considered a "moderate" resort, which simply means, it's a step above the budget resorts like Pop Century and two others.

It is undergoing renovations right now, but we were not inconvienced in any way.  They have a good food tent with amazing  food and plenty of it as it is a buffet.   The pools (there are three) and the beaches are open and beautiful.  A wonderful Tiki bar with Caribbean style drinks.  Mousekeeping is stellar and the cast members could not be more helpful.  I had a beautiful room on our trip in May in the Jamacia section.  I highly recommend this resort.

What’s the difference between the all star hotels and the  Disney Caribbean hotel. Do you get the same trams  and perks of Disney?

My family usually stay at the Green Shades Hotel, as the price break is just too good to pass up.  You need someone in the party to have a military ID card to use this hotel.
