A couple weeks ago the size of the print on our "GUIDE" got much smaller and shows a different format info at the top of the screen which covers about 1/3 of the screen in very small print.  It doesn't always show "first aired" anymore and other info is gone.  After this happened, when you change the channel it takes much longer for it to change.  I'm very unhappy with this.  My husband called to complain but as with most providers it falls on deaf ears.  Is anyone else experiencing this with Direct TV?

A few months ago after upgrading to the new Genie2, I started a thread about this same subject. All I can say is have your glasses on the ready...lol!Woman LOL I can't see the small font either, especially on my smaller TV. They call this an 'upgrade' ...yeah right.

Well, that's three of us.  It wasn't easy to red the previous info and now it's almost impossible.  Not liking the channel location or the length of time to change channels.

Is it just a change to justify another increase?

I noticed the same thing and don't like it. I feel like I have to get a bigger TV monitor just to be able to see what upcoming programs will be recorded or to see the names of those already recorded.

Maybe there is a way to increase the size of the type, like there is on this forum. Must be something that can be done. I do not see any improvement in what Direct TV did. Smiley Sad

Yes and we think it is terrible!

In order to change one recorded show to a different recorded show, a person has to go back and re-scroll through the entire list!

What it appears the change has done, is to encourage a viewer to choose “on demand” and perhaps then pay to rent a show. $$$

I just double checked our guide view.  Mine has not changed...yet!  Maybe they are doing it regionally for now.

We dislike the revised on screen guide. Font is too small and it takes longer to get to the manage recordings tab.

No problem. I just checked, and if I hit "info," as usual, the "first aired" data appears. It was working all along, and last week directv upgraded the whole system because of its age, and, to repeat, that feature is still there.

Why don't you all email your displeasure with the change to Direct TV?  Surely they have a "contact us" address.  They're the only ones who can fix it; doesn't do any good to complain here.  A bunch of complaints will get their attention.
