Yesterday (Saturday), I received packages from QVC and Macys via UPS.  Just now, Sunday morning, I received a package from QVC via USPS.  When did this weekend delivery of packages start?  I asked the UPS driver yesterday but he really didn't want to answer and appeared angry, I guess because he had to work on his day off.  Amazon always delivers on Sundays.  I wonder if this has anthing to do with the Amazon/P.O. investigation or backups in their systems.

It's been around.  We get packages from Amazon all the time on Sundays.  Seems like more that day then any other.  They will deliver on weekends if the business that you purchase from will allow it.  I'm expeting a package that arried in my town on Friday.  But the place I ordered it from will only allow business days to deliver.  So it's been sitting on a Fedex truck for the past 2 days!

Re: Saturday/Sunday Delivery

I get packages delivered on Saturday and Sunday pretty frequently. It all has to do with how the shipper sends it. Of course, regular mail delivers on Saturday, but Priority Mail and some of the UPS priority shipping methods have delivered on Sunday for quite some time in my area. I'm expecting two packages today.

Looking forward to reading replies.  Where we live there is no delivery from UPS on Saturdays nor Sunday deliveries from USPS.

We get deliveries on Saturday from USPS and UPS. Nothing on Sunday.

Re: Saturday/Sunday Delivery

Post office delivers Amazon packages on Sundays. And others sometimes also.

UPS has started delivering on Saturdays.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Re: Saturday/Sunday Delivery

Saturday deliveries by UPS have been around forever but not for selected areas.  UPS doesn't deliver to us on Saturday and I think it's becaue there are several large condo and apartment complexes in my area and that would be too much for a Saturday.  FEDEX and Usps have always delivered on Saturdays.  Usps delivers on Sundays but I believe only if the sender chooses (and pays extra) for that type of delivery.  The Amazon trucks deliver everyday of the week  9am to 9pm.  Even on Christmas Day.

From someone who had to work on the weekends her entire life - I don't feel any particular saddness for UPS or USPS employees who are working on the weekends. I'm sure they get some other day off during the week because the company would not want to have to pay time and a half.
